Time- 10 am

Skill level-Beginner/flat water.

Please let me know if you are coming and plan to eat at the Allegheny Grille so we can give them a ballpark number. You can also eat at Foxburg Pizza.

We will all meet at the Emlenton Boat Launch and unload. Once you have unloaded I will ask the drivers to head to Parker and wait for other drivers. Then shuttle back to the launch site once all cars are at Parker. (I will have printed copies of the directions from Emlenton to Parker for those who might not have smartphones.)

I will be the last one to leave Emlenton and catch the last shuttle. If you miss the last shuttle, you can still paddle. We will bring you back to your car. But the last shuttle will leave at about 10:30 am. We need to be on the water by 11 so we can be at the Allegheny Grille by 12. (The reservation is for 12.)

Note- The steps behind the hotel that we usually use to get to the restaurant are closed permanently. They have installed a docking area just past the restaurant we will use.

After we eat we usually walk around town and check out the winery, chocolate store or get ice cream. We try to regroup and paddle down to the mouth of the Clarion River. Once at the confluence of the rivers, we stop at the beach area and swim and jump off the bridge abutment. LOTS OF FUN!!!

Then we paddle the last mile and half to our vehicles in Parker. Total mileage is 7 very easy miles. Makes for a super fun day for all skill levels!!!!

Reminder. Have your boat registered and your sticker on the boat. Pretty much every time we reach Parker there is a Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission officer there checking stickers. Boats registered in Ohio are legal to paddle the Allegheny.

Note-If you are unable to paddle but would still like to be a part of the day’s activities, we can use your help with shuttling. The fewer cars we bring back to the launch the better. And you can always join us for lunch at the Allegheny Grille at noon. Thanks!
