2019 Planning Meeting

Time- 12:30ish to 4:30pm

Time to plan out our paddling season. This is the perfect time to come up with any new trips or return to trips we haven't done for several years.
I personally would love to see a total of 5 or 6 on the Mahoning but that's just me
On the Mahoning alone we can swap out sections at will. Last year we didn't paddle downtown Youngstown. Instead we went back to Lowellville that was out of rotation to give an example.
TCT has grown to be a regional club so going toward Cleveland, Erie, Pittsburgh and beyond are good possibilities.

For this event it would be great to get there and order soon as we can. I would like to start the planning part of the meeting as soon as we can as it takes a while to put together our paddling season.

More trip leaders the better
I know I will lead several trips this year and have some in mind
-Little Beaver Creek
-Conneaut Creek
-Mahoning River (Club Picnic, Upper Mahoning, Youngstown Section, Lowellville Section & Chili Chilly Paddle) Maybe Girard to B&O if no one else wants to lead any trips
-Pymatuming Creek –Could join up with the Paddle Ohio Event or do it as a nice evening paddle.
-Tuscarawas River (Bolivar section or Canal Fulton section as both have liveries)
-Lake Newport at Mill Creek Metro Park
-Cuyahoga River- Kent to Cuyahoga Falls

We already have one event planned
Sunday June 2nd Friends of the Mahoning River Fest- B & O Station Youngstown, OH
Another event to keep in mind are the Shenango River Watchers Spring & Fall Paddle fest. ( No Dates are set that I know of)
Also keep an eye open for the Mad Hatters race on the Grand River on April.
