Clarion Camping 5/19 - 5/20
 

May 19–20
Clarion River kayak/canoe overnight camping
This water trail flows through both the upper and middle sections. The trip will take us through the Allegheny National Forest. We will set up camp midway. Paddlers will be responsible for the food and gear they require plus share in the shuttle fee of $35.00.
Distance – Each day -13 miles Total - 26 miles
Put in – Lets meet at 9:30am on Saturday at Lazy River Canoe Rental 40 West Main
Street, Ridgeway PA 15853 814 772-2732
Take out – Heath Pump Station

Looking forward to this trip. Rogue and I will be on my canoe.

The putin will be on May19th at 9:30am at Lazy River Canoe Rental, 40 West Main Street, Ridgeway, PA 15853 (814) 772-2732
The trip will be thirteen miles each day for a total of 26 miles with camping midway.

Fellow TCT Clarion River Campers
 

We went backpacking Thursday and Friday in Allegheny National Forest on the NCT and it went to 34 degrees at night, so be prepared for any type of weather. There is a long detour at Rt. 8 north of Franklin as of Thursday.
Please be at the Putin at or before 9:30am on Saturday so you don’t miss the LRCR shuttle. Everyone will need to contribute for the $35.00 shuttle fee. See you all then.

unfortunately i will not be able to make the trip now, other things came up at home. have fun.

Ed, I was wondering if you plan to camp in that spot we were talking about
If you want to stay with the pack since it looks like I would be the only one that would come late, I more than understand.
