Fall Color Run Part 1
Shenango River-West Middlesex to Pulaski - Trip Leader Mike Danko When-Sunday October 13th Where- West Middlesex Public launch 27 Penn Ave West Middlesex, PA 16159 GPS 41.171872, -80.460095 Time-11 am Paddle Length-6 Miles 2-Class I Rapids We will adventure down the Shenango river from West Middlesex to Pulaski PA. This six mile run will hopefully be right in the middle of the fall foliage for our color paddle. This section of the Shenango has a nice current with 2 class I rapids and several little ripples. There is one turn were we will have to go single file due to a tree part way in the turn. For anyone who doesn’t know the Shenango and Mahoning rivers are called sister rivers as they meet to form the Beaver River south of New Castle PA. The Shenango hasn’t been as industrialized has the Mahoning and offers great scenic views along the way. Please post on the website on text me of you plan on attending 330-766-3129 Mike Danko |
I plan to be there. I've missed most of the Shenango trips the past two years. Hurts when I live closer than most of our members.

Will there be any cash prizes awarded to those that successfully navigate all the rapids? Asking for a friend.

K & C =yes
K & C are planning to attend.
|
Is the definition of successfully navigating the rapids still mean coming out of the bottom while still among the living?
|
Lol...Stan, I think it's all in how you look at it. My definition of success is staying dry!
It looks to be a beautiful autumn day. This is one you wont want to miss! Me and the Mister will be attending. |
