Preperation For Backpacking

I've been working out and hiking preparing for some backpacking this summer. I've been inactive for 10 years due to working in Florida. I don't do Florida outdoors , except the beach.

How many backpackers do we have in the group ? Just curious.

I always wanted to get into backpacking. I've done some hiking, but it was more like 5 hour walk through the woods.
