Chagrin River Review

On Friday June 7th Jessica and myself made a trip on the Chagrin River after work.
This was my 4th trip on this river and a new section . In my opinion this is the hardest river to catch. It rises so fast and falls even faster.

We Paddled from Old Mill Rd Bridge in Gates Mills to Pleasant Valley Park just north of St Rt 6. This section is 7.6 miles long. USGS was 530cfs. (for this river I go by CFS)
This section is much like the Cuyahoga river by Boston Mills with all the twists and turns with tons of gravel sandy beaches.
The biggest difference was the water activity. A lot more class I rapids and one class II.
The scenery is amazing and we saw several bald eagles and water fowl.

My paddle zero for this section would be 450CFS. Any part of this river from St Rt. 87 Polo Fields to the lake my paddle zero is 450CFS

Whitewater section from South Chagrin Reservation to Chagrin Blvd metro park is 1000 CFS
