Trip is cancelled

After checking many different weather forecasts and talking to Don Rex, we have decided it is best to cancel this trip. The forecasts are all calling for a possibility of thunderstorms all day with an increasing chance thruout the afternoon. The weather forecasts are saying the storms have a big possibility of heavy downpours and strong gusty wind. Heavy rain can cause the river levels to rise quickly in addition to the other hazards of a thunderstorm. With the likely hood of many newbies, and a takeout that is just above the Girard dam, we feel it's best to play it safe and not chance anyone getting hurt.

Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday run smoothly.
