Planning to be there

I’m planning to come, but I could be a last minute scratch at the put in as I’ve been experiencing some pain and weakness in my left wrist and hand.

Great Day on the Shenango!

Many thanks to Ed Rigby who led a group of four long-time TCT paddlers (Ed, Jim Bozdog, Stan Shiderly, JP Tolson) in two canoes and two kayaks down the Shenango River from West Middlesex to Pulaski under medium-bright clouds and even a few peeks of sun and blue skies. Temperatures were in the low 50s, but very comfortable when paddling, and wind was not a factor. We lamented that more paddlers didn't take advantage of this wonderful time on the river, and speculated the weather forecast may have kept some away. But it didn't rain until we were driving home. Water level was a steady, dam-leased 2.41 feet on the Sharpsville, PA US Geological Survey gauge. Each time paddling this section of the Shenango I am reminded how pleasant this run is, particularly the upper half with some twists and turns and decent current. We saw a couple great blue herons and a couple kingfishers. It was another great day on the river!
