Cooks Forest boat access campsite

I was looking at the 'new' Clear Creek State Forest/Cook Forest State Park/Clear Creek State Park map, researching some of the trails downstream of Cooksburg for possible mtb - and I noticed a canoe icon downstream of Gravel Lick. Further research shows that there are a couple of remote, water access campsites there, available through Cook Forest SP.

With that camping option it kind of opens up the possibility of long Clarion River trips. With National Forest backcountry camping available between Ridgway and Irwin Run, dispersed riverside camping between Irwin Run and Millstone Creek, and the Cook Forest campsites you could make a nice 3 night trip somewhere around 70 miles long and taking out at the Mill Creek boat ramp.

Might be something to keep in mind. Even for an overnighter from Cooksburg to Mill Creek.
