Ashtabula River 11-23-14

On Sunday the 23rd of November, Paul Issac, Matt Brady (up from Virginia), Dan Reeves (up from Wooster OH) and myself paddled the upper part of Ashtabula River.
We went from Green Hill Rd Bridge to Haddock rd aka the Ashtabula Ford.
The water level was perfect at 2.5ft on the Dewy Rd Gauge and 2.7 on the Conneaut Creek USGS gauge.

Great trip with lots of nice surfing waves for the playboats and for me it was nice to crash a dash and hide in eddies and watch them play. Wonderful day with temps in the low 50's, water temps in the 30's as we paddled with chuncks of ice. But over all the paddle was great with the dream level of water and good people to paddle with.
It was nice to meet Dan and to see Matt again.

WHen I get time I will edit my video and post it, so people can see what the Ashtabula River looks like.

Mike Danko

Note on Saturday the 22nd Matt & Paul did Slippery Rock Creek, at that time had lots of ice and they had longer protages due to ice.
