Great Falls Race - 2018
 

For anyone familiar (or not familiar) with Great Falls of the Potomac River, here is some video of the annual Great Falls Race. They've had lots of rain this year and river levels have been up. It's a wild ride. You may have to be on Facebook to view this. Enjoy.

Fish Ladder
 

This year's race went through the fish ladder, a steep jumble of narrow channels on river left (Maryland side). The river was probably way too high to hold it safely on the falls proper.

Doesn't look like they filmed the canoes. How did you place this year?

Once again, Ken, it appears that the open boaters exercised more common sense than the paddlers from the dark side by going nowhere near that mayhem. LOL! However, there was a lone T-gripper in a C-1 in the video showing the double-bladed boaters how it was supposed to be run!!!! :59:
