Lorain Paddle & Pedal Fest
 

Lorain Metro Parks is having a festival on Sunday May 15th. Maybe we could go up and set up a tent, maybe attract some new members. Anybody interested? We can discuss at that meeting.

Here is the post I saw on Northeast Ohio Kayakers Meet-Up website . . .

Does anybody have a pop-up canopy / tent that we could use for this?

I have a pop up tent and all the other info we would need, and would like to go as well. Let me check with work tomorrow and see what I can do!

Has anyone contacted Jannah Wilson to find out the details about the festival ? If not I can email her and find out the details. Mike and I are planning to set up a booth with info on the TCT.

I did e-mail her, and heard from her by phone. The Loraine folks will set up tents and tables. We just need to show up and bring our stuff.

Rich Allen and myself will be going on Sunday to work our tent.

Rich Allen, Mark, Jodi, & I attended the festival. We were able to share our experience and got some interest on paddling the Mahoning.
We also learned a lot about Black River & Vermillion River. With the two rivers only a hour and half away from Warren, the possibility of it being a club trip isn?t out of the question.
Did make contact with a meet up group from Akron that would to do some trips with us.
