Frost Bite Paddle-Cancellation

This is a really hard for me to cancel this paddle. I have thought long and hard and talked to all of the officers and other members. Due to how quickly the coronavirus is spreading I feel this is the best call.
I originally thought about making it and up and back paddle from Canoe City, but the more I thought of how great our group is and always willing to help each other out that we could still be putting our self’s at risk.
I am sorry to cancel a new tradition, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

At this time the Conneaut Creek/Grand River will most likely be canceled also due to the coronavirus.

Thanks to Mike and club officers for placing top priority on the health and welfare of the club, community, and nation and for realizing we are all being asked to sacrifice for the greater good at this time. There will be plenty of opportunities to paddle once the country gets through this difficult period.

Since we had to cancel the 2020 ice breaker run, here's a reminder from two years ago what it might have been like if we had been out there on the river today.

It still stinks that we had to cancel.
I still showed up at swift park incase anyone would have.
