Mahoning River Story
 

As Ed mentioned on the beaver creek forum, Rich Allen was also contacted by Cooper Johnson from Canfield High School News Team. Rich put me in contact with Cooper.
Cooper wasn't sure if he would make it to Sprucevale Tomorrow so I met with him today at the B&O Station. Took him for a canoe ride up to the West Ave dock and down to Marshall St Bridge.
Was able to answer some questions, and history of the club.
His over all story will be ready on Friday and I will post link for it.

Thank you Ed and Rich for replying, again he is doubtful for tomorrow.

Mike (and others), thanks so much for taking the time to meet with this young person. It's so important to engage kids and young people in learning about our local rivers. Kids will protect what they love - but so many people in this town don't even realize we have a viable, navigable river, and they'll never fall in love with it if they don't have a chance to talk with people like you who can teach them about it.
