Paddle-in Picnic Area - Strouds Run State Park
 

Last October 2017, we spent 3 days down at Burr Oak State Park. In our quest for "paddle points" for the Paddle Ohio program we took our kayaks along and on Oct 3 we drove over to Dow Lake at Strouds Run State Park near Athens, Oh. It was a glorious calm fall day and the lake was glassy smooth. It was amazingly quiet and we had the whole lake to ourselves. We were surprised to find in the upper, shallow end of the lake there was a "paddle-in" picnic area that was not mentioned on the park map. Cheryl took advantage of it!
