a fun time

Although we didn't paddle we had a good time. It's always nice to have some time to get caught up with any news and share stories with other members.

We are fortunate to have a pole building (garage) with high rafters. I made a rack that hangs down above each vehicle. I can lift and slide the kayaks up out of the way. I did consider attaching...

Places we've paddled -K & C

K & C were primarily hikers but both of us owned canoes and paddled occasionally even before we married. After we got our 10' Prodigy's in 2011 we probably spent more time paddling than hiking. Our...

For future reference...

From a launch at Craig Pittman Park just south of Navarre, I measure a distance of 12.7 miles back to the NTR livery at SR 212 at Bolivar. The livery claims this is a 14...

I will guess you are looking at Tim. He was in a smaller red kayak and sitting within. It was an interesting older boat in that it had very sharp lines and mostly open deck. It did resemble a...

Tusc Trip Report 9-29-19

We had a very pleasant early fall paddle on the Tuscarawas. We had 12 paddlers today... 8 kayaks and 2 tandem canoes. The temp of 70 deg and some overcast clouds made just about perfect paddling...

River report 9-26-19

I was down around Navarre this Thursday afternoon so stopped and looked at the Tusc at a couple of places. It is low. Gage at Massilon is .77 ft (136 cfs).

I'd guess it was 6-12" deep in the...

So Rich and Stan had to go after these paddlers to make SURE they stopped at the next takeout?

That's what makes TCT such a great club! Someone is always watching out for the less skilled or...

for future reference

As I noted, four of us paddled 3.1 miles upstream. We got stopped by a river-wide tree but I think with a hand saw you could get through some small branches on river left.

I did a quick...

An enjoyable trip

K & C really enjoyed this paddle and were glad Mike had put it on the schedule. Once away from the park it becomes very quiet and gives a nice sense of remoteness. Other than Riverfest I only...
