Thumbs up Rally on the (Shenango) River

Don't forget, this coming Sunday June 3, the Shenango River Watchers, along with the Penn-Ohio Watershed Association and the Shenango Conservancy, are sponsoring a rec float on the upper Shenango River.

Free shuttle, no registration fee, free lunch, and LIVE entertainment...and, better weather than we had last fall! Also, an event "patch" for participants.

The shuttle runs from Riverside Park/Greenville to put-in below the dam in Pymatuning State Park from 8:00 a.m. till about 10:30 a.m. Drop your boat and gear first, drive to Riverside Park and take shuttle back to the put-in. Class One, no portages or obstructions. Distance, about 8.5 miles. Time, about 3 hours.

The park will put enough additional water in the river for a good flow.

Last year, the hardiest of the Trumbull canoers braved nasty weather to have a good time with us! Let's do it again...
