Many thanks to Rich and Patty for a great weekend. The break in the weather allowed for rain-free camping and paddling. Everyone enjoyed the fine meals, and fellowship around the campfire.

On Saturday I believe the count was 13 kayaks (one tandem kayak) and 1 canoe going from Buckaloons down to Tidioute. We found a beach about halfway where we went ashore for lunch. The water was a bit high (5.8 on Warren gauge), as the dam was discharging after recent rains, and anticipating coming weather, however the Allegheny allows for nice trips even at higher levels.

On Sunday while some campers were breaking camp, a small group paddled from the hospital back down to Buckaloons. The water was a bit lower (4.8) than the day before, and the group also had an enjoyable trip.

Folks are already talking about next year.
