The main thing you will see is the pure speed of the water, but the main problem is all the cross currents that happen near shore or any object that may stick out.
Watch your turns, some might be very pushy that will try to push you to the outside like a nascar track can.
There is no room for a major error. if for some reason one of you flip, it will be a long and hard swim to get to shore but also to get your boat back.
Be safe and really watch the cross currents and boils as they can throw your balance off.
