Greetings,

There is only one gage. It is located in Painesville at River Mile 8.7 near where SR 84 crosses over the river. [ Google for... USGS 04212100 ] The Grand runs for 102 miles so that gage sometimes needs to be interpreted for conditions further upstream.

We don't know what your paddling experience is, but, if you are a new paddler, please consider finding other experienced paddlers that will help you make good decisions. We really hate to read about other paddlers from police reports!
