Little about me: I'm not very experienced. But I'm about to be. I'm training for the Texas Water Safari. 260 mile canoe race in Texas. It's no joke and the training has weekend trips of 20-60miles throughout. Overnighters included. I have a 16' mad river royalex canoe I'll convince someone to join me in each weekend.
Of course, safety is first. I won't be paddling in unsafe conditions. If anyone has tips or advice or suggestions on put ins or takeouts I'm all ears. Also, should I be concerned about break-ins at parking lots?
