The foreboding weather forecast two days earlier never materialized. So six club members enjoyed a 3+ mile up and back paddle starting at Canoe City Metropark on the Mahoning and going as far as a half mile upstream in Eagle Creek before turning around. The sky was cloudy and the temperature was in the low 40s but really wasn't bad since there was little if any wind. The dozen folks who stayed behind around the fire left the paddlers plenty of the five or six different chilis to eat after we returned. It was another great day on the river!
