Radio Rapids is just downriver of US Route 224. Its name comes from the club. On a Sunday club trip a number of years ago, one of the paddlers was listening to the Browns game on an unsecured transistor radio in his boat. While going through the rapids, the radio, but not the paddler
, fell overboard. Hence the name Radio Rapids.
