What a fantastic day, temps were lower high 20's maybe lower 30's with some wind.

With weather like we had and being in December it is truly amazing to see so many come out to the event. The chili paddle is alway a big draw. 23 total came out for a great time. Greg Keen even came down from New York State.

We had 10 brave paddler hit the water in 7 boats. (Jeff & Nephew, John Paul & Christine, Jess & Mike in Canoes. Jim, Steve, Chuck & Wayne in Kayaks.)
Due to temps we decide to do a up and back from Canoe City. Steve & Chuck did the paddle from Swift park down to Canoe City.

After the paddle we call defrosted with some good chili and sloppy joe's. We also had the shortest meeting possible, then we sat back and just relaxed by a nice fire and enjoy each other company with it lightly snowed.
We even saw a bald Eagle while we were paddling and had a Hawk land on a tree close to the fire.

Greg was able to tell us the history of this paddle. It use to be just a Chilly Paddle, but some one misspelled it and used Chili, so they decided to bring Chili, and the rest is history

Thanks to all who came, and brought food and tables.
