Yesterday turned out to be the perfect day to be on East Sandy Creek. Water was higher than usual, but not high enough to start washing out the waves & rapids. Not another paddler on the creek (as usual) but lots of people on the trail when I was doing the shuttle. Also stopped at Beaver Creek and tried to surf the wave above Sprucevale, but at yesterdays level (say 1475 cfs) the wave starts to change - very hard to get into from the eddy, and squirrelly as all get out. Not a very good surf session, but now I have the upper limit for that wave pretty much set.

Thanks Jessica. I've been wondering about that creek for ten years, but have never found anyone with any info. Looking at the topos it definitely has potential, but with the gorge you can't scout from up top - only inside. I may check in with you if there's high water and warm temps some day.
