Worth reading
Just finished ramoore’s recommendation, Without a Paddle. Definitely worth reading! Participants in a long-distance race using non-motorized boats around the entire Florida peninsula, including a 40-mile portage on a two-lane road through the Okefenokee Swamp, had just 30 days to finish. The author was in it to compete, paddling all day and much of the night on most days. A full night of sleep would have to wait until after the race. The racers faced numerous obstacles in an extremely challenging test of mental and physical endurance.
