PA kayaker paddling in OH- Launch permit
I am sure this has been a topic in the club. My understanding is if I have a Pa boat launch permit, since Ohio is a bordering state, I am ok to paddle in Ohio.

Most states will honor your launch permit, but the regulations for Ohio actually say REGISTRATION. I have never had an issue with any of their patrols when I had the launch permits. But next time your launch permit is p for renewal consider going a registration. Same cost, the expiration date changes to March instead of end of year. The advantage is the registration can be used to identify the kayak if lost. The launch permit can't. Plus the state sends a renewal notice before the registration expires. Thus I don't forget to renew, and I do it online. For me it works.
