Presque Isle September 11
Will meet at 11:00 at the boat livery near Perry Monument. We will have a nice tour of the lagoons, stop at the Marina picnic area for some lunch, then head back through the lagoons to the livery. Depending on weather and wave conditions, some folks may elect to take the shortcut from the Marina back to the livery by going out into Presque Isle bay.
Traffic and parking should not be the problem that they were last year, because we have pushed this trip back until after Labor Day. The easiest and fastest way to get to Presque Isle is to come over 90 then go North on 79 until you reach the first red light (which is Lincoln Avenue). Make a left going North on Lincoln. Keep going straight when you get to the Light at 8th and Lincoln. When you get to the stop sign at 6th and Lincoln, turn left and keep going until you hit the first red light. This is Peninsula Drive. Turn right on Peninsula Drive and keep going until you come to the livery (about 7 miles once you get on Peninsula Drive). Call me at 814-456-3626 if you will be attending. Also let me know if you are interested in getting there a little early and snarking down some waffles and eggs before the trip. |

Brad
Just to clarify................. when they come into the park, they follow the directions to Perry's Monument, which will be on the right side of the road . They should continue on the road and cross the bridge and immediately on the left hand side of the road they will find the parking lot for the boat livery. Erie still sucks in winter..............lol |

Looking forward to it!
I think Linda and I are planning to go. I missed out last year, so hoping to get there this year. (Weatherchannel.com forecast: 40% chance of rain, scattered thunderstorms, high 73).
