Mahoning River at Carson's Landing
WHEN - Sunday May 19th 2019
WHERE - Carson's Landing, 16525 Ellsworth Rd. Berlin Center, Ohio 44401 GPS - 41.065731, -80.967007 TIME - 11:00am Total Mileage of Paddle - approximately 5 miles total up to Berlin Dam area and back. This is an ideal paddle for first timers and younger paddlers. Those who plan to experience the Moonlight Paddle in August can see where they will be going that night during this trip. The put in / take out is on the shore of Lake Milton in shallow water where everyone can easily get in and out of their boat. There are no rapids or obstructions to be concerned with, it is a nice relaxing paddle on a section of the Mahoning River that most neglect to paddle. AFTERWARDS - About one mile east on Ellsworth Rd. from the take out is one of the area's nicest wineries, Mastropietro Winery. Lin B. and Bob K. plan on stopping there after the paddle to relax outside and enjoy an adult beverage under one of their canopies, perhaps some Sangria. Join us if you can!

A prior commitment will keep us from attending this paddle. Sorry to miss it.

Mahoning River at Carson's Landing
I am dog-sitting the next 2 weekends. I will watch the weather. If it's nice, I can leave the dogs in their outside run, but only if there is pretty much zero chance of rain. They have a dog door to go inside, but one dog is old and will just sit there and get rained on, so I can't chance it. Right now, the weather forecast looks thunder-stormy, but if the outlook improves, I will plan to attend. Otherwise, I'm landlocked until Memorial Day.

Sorry I won’t be able to make it to swell the number of open boaters. Hope everyone has a great time.

Well it looks like a good day to paddle again. There's water we can get to. I'll see you all there.
