Chilly Chili Run

Sunday December 4th, 11am, we will meet at Canoe City in Leavettsburg on the Mahoning River for the annual Chilly Chili Run. This is always a good time. A last grasp at the paddling season before most of us put the boats away for a few months. I will bring a pot of mild chili and some corn bread or beer bread. Another pot of chili would be welcome along with any other goodies you would like to bring to share.
Mike would like to get some of the group to go up to Swift Park and come down to Canoe City,about an hour and a half trip. If you want to do that trip come a little early and we will get you shuttled up there to start.
The rest of us will do the regular trip up the Mahoning to Eagle Creek and back to Canoe City and hot chili!!
And remember Brad, if you're reading this, the run is on SUNDAY !!

Looks like it's going to be about 20 degrees warmer for the Chilly Chili than last years event. That should be good for attendence. Cold weather water rules for dress still important. If you don't have a wetsuit, dress in warm, light layers like wool and polypro with a light wind/waterproof jacket. No Carhart suits.

I'm bringing some sloppy joes. Should I bring a long extension cord? A power strip? How many outlets are there? See you then, Sue

I need to know about if there is electric or do we need to bring our own heat source? We are bringing more chili.

Glad you're coming Robin and Sue. There is electric outlets there but I don't know if they are turned on. If you have a propane stove, bring it. A long extension cord may come in handy too.
