Four Crazy's & Bula River
After the Mahoning was post pone for good reason, some of us who heads might be a little loose did a trip down the Ashtabula River. The Conneaut Creek gauge was 2.57 and the gauge on Dewy Rd Bridge was 2ft.
What a perfect level for a nice 4.3 miles of whitewater class II rapids. Matt Brady, Paul Issac, Debra W, and myself enjoyed the trip as the Ashtabula Slide was real nice to go threw, and all the ledges we a blast to get threw as well. Many great wave trains and tons of surfing waves where Matt got a lot in and Paul joined in as well. Got wet, but dressed correctly and never got cold. Also with help of Paul; Matt & Myself ran down a waterfall/slide that was maybe 10 ft tall. That was a blast. Great trip for the four of us as it was long enough to enjoy but short enough not to get cold. Thanks to Matt, Paul, & Debra fora great trip Mike Danko |
