I'm interested in beginning to kayak with my 4 year old boy, I live in the Austintown area and was wondering if anyone here knew of a location where my son and I could purchase {used} starter equipment.

A good place to start is Mill Creek Park, they have kayaks for rent and a Kayak program run by Ray Novatny who is a member of the TCT. They can help with the basics and see what style of boat you would like to get.
As for used boats, craig list as a lot and Boatertalk.com under gear swap as a lot as well. Hope this helps Mike Danko |

A friend as a couple of boats for sale bought at Dick's and he upgraded I think he would take 150 for each boat, we actually had the same boats, thinner plastic but great for portaging.
