Great way to document a run at a specific flow rate. Looks like the current was moving at a decent clip. First time I've ever seen paddling video footage set to fight songs! Thanks for posting, Mike.

Looks like fun. That water was moving pretty good. What do you think those would be rated? I recognized that spillway/dam modification thingy you stopped at from one of the pictures I've seen at one of our meetings.

Yes I love my college fight songs. Go Bucks & Penguins!!!
Tom at that level I would say Kent is a straight class II run. Most of the time when if flows under 1000 cfs it is a class II Above 1000 cfs it does turn into a class III. The club will run it if members want if it is under 700 CFS. We have done it low as 140 cfs, and it is still fun. WHat is nice it is a straigh forward paddle, not much stering at all. Lots of little wave trains Anytime any wants to run it let me know, I am always up for that section |

I forgot to also say anytime the flow is below 300cfs it is a nice class I paddle that still fun to do.
I have done this section in all of my boats under 1000cfs, 17 ft canoe 14 ft carolina kayak (jim Boz has also used his) 9.5 ft Perception Swifty Wavesport Diesel ( lost this boat to this section at 1,600 cfs) Wavesport Ethos Long as it is Under a 1000, anyone should be able to make with spray skirt, unless you have a canoe than do use a spray skirt Mike |
