The annual Midwest Canoe Symposium (MCS) will be held September 6-8 at Camp Butler in Peninsula, Ohio. Participating in this event is an excellent way for canoeists to improve and refine their paddling skills. And it's a lot of fun. It is jam-packed with different kinds of classes, not only freestyle. I was able to take part in the 2018 MCS and really enjoyed it.

I just noticed that the registration deadline for the MCS is this Friday, August 23 for anyone who is thinking about attending. The weekend is jam-packed with many courses other than freestyle.
