Count me in
Hey Clipper looks like this is the time and the Grand River is the place to try out the Old Town Vapor , her maiden voyage! Purchased a paddle and I'm ready. Thanks for the advice on clothing. I'll bring the pretzels! I may have a friend Ron Delapena (he just joined TCT) and his kayak come along.

Grand River
Water conditions for Sundays paddle are perfect, at 1 1/2 ft - 2 ft above summer levels. Air temp. up to 52 degrees for a high with the possability for a late afternoon shower. All in all we should be in great shape for the club paddle tommorow. I came up with another $50.00 for prize money for the Photograph contest to bring the total to: $100.00 for the winning photo. This will be a season long contest with the result's and prize money decided at the TCT Procrastinator's Christmas Party next January. Looking forward to wetting my "T-grip" tommorow.

Many thanks to Rich for leading the Grand River trip and arranging for optimum water levels. And to Klasen Catering for setting the bar higher than anyone in TCT will ever achieve for providing lunch on the Clipper!
A few pictures have been posted in User Albums....enjoy! Great to see lots of TCT paddlers again as well as some new club members. Last edited by JPTolson; 04-04-2011 at 08:17 AM. |

Grand River Pics
JP,
I really hope everyone enjoyed the day, despite the cold front comming through with rain and lowering temps ten degrees. I have some cropping to do with the individual pics I took, will try to have done and posted by Thursday. Felt good to get back on the water... Rich |

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and greatly appreciate all your trip-leader efforts?loan of the boat (it was nice not hefting mine onto the car at the end), shuttle service, lunch on the river, etc. Wow, are you lucky to live so close to such a beautiful river as well as all those wineries! :?)
