Ken and Cheryl, glad to hear that you are bringing veggie chili. What a relief knowing that I won't have to strip bark off the trees and forage for acorns the squirrels buried to enjoy a meal with the rest of the club. See you there.

How do you suppose that Mike arranged to have 65 degrees and no wind for a paddle in the middle of December? With the size of the crowd it looked like we all took advantage of it. It was a nice day. Thanks Mike.

What a great day! We had a total of 39 members and guest at Canoe City with 26 boats making the float.(4 Canoes, 22 Kayaks)
Temps in the upper 60's in December and tons of great food made this a great day. We were lucky to have Jan Poncar join us. In 1977 he was part of the group that started the idea of a water trail on the Mahoning River. He helped lead a trip down the Mahoning from Canoe City to Packard Park. It was an honor to have him in the Canoe with me. Thank you to all who came out. It was so Nice to see everyone. Our second biggest turn out of the year, Just under foxburg trip. Mike |
