Kokosing River Cancelled

Kokosing River- Big Run Road to Millwood
When- Sunday July 28th
This trip has been cancelled, Unfortunately the trip leader is dealing with some health issues and unable to paddle.

The Kokosing is hard to catch in the summer. Book says a minimum of 140 cfs but I think we paddled a bit lower than that with a few walks.

As of Wed 7-17-24 at 10am river is at 45 cfs !!

This paddle may not have happened anyway.

What usually happens (in summer) with the Kokosing is a heavy rain brings the river up fast... to flood stage... and then drops fast.

Check with Kokosing Valley Camp and Canoe for current conditions.
