Default Paddle Ohio Event on Little Beaver Creek

At the quarterly meeting of the Little Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River Advisory Council meeting on December 13, it was announced that there will be a Paddle Ohio event on the creek on June 17, 2018. Thirty-two spaces will be available for the public and I believe that the state representative at the meeting said that they will make boats available for those who need them just as they did at the Paddle Ohio event on the Mahoning last summer. The run will be from Grimm's Bridge to Ohioville. No contact information was provided at this time.

Would anyone be willing to have the club help out like we did on the mahoning? Good exposer and we have the money to see if we could do something for the shuttle we did with the mahoning?

I believe it was $ 100. Not sure if the same bus service would do it again or we would have to look for one out of east Liverpool

That amount seems reasonable. I think working with ODNR is good, and should give us an opportunity to discuss applying for a "Clean Ohio Trails Fund" or "Recreational Trails Program" grant. According to their website, "Non-profit organizations" are among those eligible for grants for "land acquisition for a trail, trail development, trail head facilities, engineering and design". Although, the 2018 application deadline is Feb 1, 2018. Maybe we can work with ODNR and Metroparks to get some improved facilities at the trail heads of our water trail.
