After review of the pictures, I see the boat is open at both ends, so it looks like a canoe, and I believe he is using a double bladed canoe paddle so YES, it counts.
I do have questions about Billie though. Can anybody tell me if she sank, had a canoe carry any gear or finish behind the last canoe??? If so it would be a clean sweep for canoes!
