Default Low head dam info

Hello all,

I read the other day about Aqua PA doing some reconstruction on the low head dam in Sharon on the Shenango River. The artricle says that they are going to put large boulders on the downstream side of the wall for support.

This article made me think that if the boulders are there then they would eliminate the backwash and would make it navigatable. I am very interested in this because this is the one dam that you can not just get out and walk around due to the mills in the area. And also because this is my "home" water being just ten minutes away.

Here is a link to the article on WKBN:

Just wondering what yuns think. Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.
