Default New Year Paddling Resolutions

TCT,
I'm tired of looking at that "Hey people, first post, hello" post from the bravia spammer/hacker on the Forums/Post page, so I thought it might be interesting to start a new thread for new year's paddling resolutions. I hope a few members might chime in with some of theirs. Here are several of mine.

1. Paddle at least one TCT run in a kayak! Yes, I know that a few of you might have just have fainted. Bob K will surely not want to miss this. Maybe we could swap boats just for that trip, Bob!

2. Convince one club member to take a swiftwater rescue class.

3. Lead one club trip.

4. Paddle three new runs.

5. Paddle tandem canoe more often by inviting a friend on at least three trips. CAUTION: This could make my kayak rescue vessel unavailable to the dark siders on those runs, LOL!

Default Paddling in 2012

For myself, I hope to do more than just the Presque Isle trip with the club this year, which I have done in the past 2 years. I would also like to do one of the canoe/camping trips!

Actually, you can still rescue -- it is even easier with someone else to help you! And if you have to take a passenger, they can always sit on the bottom of the boat, in the middle, in the puddle of water. Kayakers are used to that anyway....

You're on JP, I'll do a tandem paddle with you in the Chyrsler Newport, if you'll give a kayak a try. I should be able to borrow my son's kayak for your paddling pleasure. Of course you understand the ramifications of this if it occurs, YOU may be tempted to come over to the darkside and I would probably be considered an honorary Canypsy. Both events should be good for a laugh for all concerned, but more importantly they are further indications that the world indeed will end 12-20-2012
