Default Beer bread

I had several people ask about the beer bread I brought to the chilli run. It's a simple recipe...3cups self rising flour..1/4 cup sugar...1 can (12oz) room temp. beer...mix with spoon..put into greased or sprayed 9x5 loaf pan...bake @350 for 40 min. Good stuff, and great toasted.

I've tried a couple different ways to make this. Light beer doesn't add much flavor, darker beers do. The Bass Ale bread was good,Corona and diced hot pepper, Miller G.Draft and shredded cheese too. I'll bring some to the chilli run . And the best thing is you have 5 beers left after one of these experiments to eat the bread with!
