Fireworks Paddle

Found this in the FREE PRESS shoppers paper.
Fireworks paddle at Pymatuning State Park, July 4th, 9pm at beach #2. Must have own boat, PFD and headlamp. No registration needed, but must be over 18. Drop off at Beach #2 and move to parking area. more info; www.dcnr.state.pa.us Pymatuning State Park.

Know of anything else like this in the area?

Venture Outdoors is hosting a 4th of July fireworks paddle in Pittsburgh, and I've seen mention of a 7/4 fireworks paddle posted on the Pittsburgh Kayakers Meet-Up site as well.

For less hectic fireworks paddles, let me suggest the "Sky Blast" nights in Pittsburgh . . . that's when they have a fireworks night after a Pirates baseball game. Venture Outdoors hosts "Sky Blast" paddles, but a group could certainly get together and do a paddle independent from VO and skip the fee that VO charges. Next date that I see is July 9th.
