Default Foster Park

The Foster Park run on ocotober 17 is our coor run. We will meet at 11:00 and have a short meeting and then a nice paddle. By unforeseen circumstances there will be no trip leader for this run. So it will leader by committee on this run, so let the discussion begin. Take out and shuttle arrngements will be made at the meeting.

Does anyone know what paddling zero is on the Leavittsburg gage for the Foster Park run? When we ran from Route 82 on down to Warren in June, the Leavittsburg gage was about 2.93 and, as I recall, that seemed to be plenty of water. Today the gage was 2.63.

Where is Foster Park? I Googled it and got nothing in Warren or Trumbull County.

The exact address is 3940 Damascus-Newton Falls Road, Newton Township, Ohio

The last time the club did this I heard there are some trees down.
I went to Bing.com, and start to look at pictures of the river from foster park to newton falls, there are several sports with tree's are down, but I think we can get around them, plus I will have my little saw with me if needed.

I really wish I would have got off my butt and went down in the summer to see how it is.

Default color run

I paddled up stream from Newton Falls on Monday. There was some current and I had to dodge falling acorns. The river is mostly clear enough to paddle but there was one spot near Foster Park that's pretty bad(I'm going over on Saturday morning with a saw). One problem remains,ODOT is paving the park this week I called Zac at metro parks and he thought they would be finished before the weekend.

Thanks to Ed Rigby for stepping up to lead the TCT fall colors trip today on the upper Mahoning. A few pictures from the trip have been posted in User Albums...enjoy!

Sorry I missed the fun. I had run-in with a deer last night with my truck. I didn't want to drive to far until it got it checked out.

Hope no one got hurt. Missed you on the river. Speaking from experience, it's frightening to hit such a large animal. This is the most dangerous time of year for car/deer strikes.
