Chilly Chili Paddle
When- Sunday December 12th

Time-11 AM

We will have a Port-a-John

You know it is December when it is time for the umpteenth annual Chilly Chili Run.
Last chance for all you canoeists and kayakers to get out for one last official trip before the end of the year.
We will gather at Canoe City Metropark starting around 11am and set up the area for our chili feast and get a fire going. Members are welcome to bring your own pot of chili and any goodies you would like to share. I will be bringing chili from Wendy's as it is the only chili Jessica will eat.
After setup we will head up to Swift Metro park for the 3.6-mile flat water paddle to Canoe City for the chili and other goodies.
Members are always welcome to do an up and back from Canoe City if they don't want to do the shuttle.
If it is extremely cold like some past year then we will do just an up and back for safety.
We will have our 2nd meeting of the year at the event.
Hope to see a good turnout for a fun event.

I'll be coming. Making a batch of chili and bringing the old Mad River. Maybe the Penobscot. Weather looks good and the river should be up. Mary and her red dagger may be coming too. Haven't done this in a few years, but the tradition is pulling me back for this one. Let's stand around the fire and plan trips for next year.

I will be bringing 2 tables and a generator just incase we aren't able to use the electric

with temperatures in the higher 30's most likely to do an up and back so if anyone wants to turn back if they get cold they can.
