Solo run feb 6th
On Super Bowl Sunday I had enough of looking outside and wanting to get in the water.
So I found Kennedy in Niles which has a nice area to put in the Mosquito Creek. From there I went up stream to the eastwood mall, and came back down stream to Niles High School. Stopped there and rested and paddel back up stream to Kennedy park. Was in the water 2 1/2 hours, not sure about distance? The water is very flat with little current. Very shallow in spots and deep in others. I was surprise how nice it really was on the creek. The way the park is, it could be a good area for a club meeting. Has a pavilion and a deck that sit at the edge of the bank over looking the water I know I shouldn't gone alone but I was stir crazy. See everyone soon Mike |

I am surprised that you actually found open water. Everything frozen over here. Makes you wounder what's in the water that it does not freeze.
