KAYAKING SYMPOSIUM
Learn about Kayaking and other outdoor adventure sports through demonstrations, programs, and exhibits. The Backpacker?s Shop of Sheffield Village will provide boat demos. Representatives from dealers throughout the Midwest will have various types of kayaks and canoes available to try out on the lake for participants ages 18 and older.
In case of inclement weather,demos will still take place on land.
The Rose Caf? will also be open for lunch.

Program Schedule
10am-10:45am-Flares Program-on beach
Learn more about appropriate flares for boating. Also bring expired flares and practice launching flares on the beach (only designated area and during program time).
11-11:30am-Stoves and Water Filters-program area
11:45am-12:15pm -10 Tips in 30 minutes-on beach
*Boat rep Bruce Clevenger will present 10 basic kayaking tips
12:30-1pm-Hull Designs-program area
1:15-1:45pm-Packing a Kayak-program area
2-2:30pm-How to Get Involved with
Keelhaulers Canoe Club-program area
