Need New Kayak Info
Hi All,
I finally got my own kayak, no more borrowing from Sue! I have a question about size and placement of the identification numbers. The guide book I got when I bought the license says I must place them on the port and starboard side of the bow BUT, an alternative display is behind the seat and inside the boat. Am I going to have a problem if I use the alternative suggestion? Also, must the numbers be 3 inches in height? I have seen some variations on this and I want to be in compliance. Thanks for your input and hope to see you on the water soon. |

Alternative registration
The alternative locations are only if you paid for the "Alternative Registration", which is available for hand-powered watercraft. That costs an extra $5. If you did that, you would not need to put the OH numbers on, just the registration sticker.
If you went with normal registration, you are required to put the OH numbers on as described in your instructions. The numbers must be at least 3 inches, but they can be larger. |

Thanks. Was hoping I didn't have to use the numbers, but as I was not aware of the alternative when I registered, I did not pay the extra $5.00. What a racket!
