Default New to kayaking

I am new to kayaking. I live in western pa. Was wondering if any license or stickers are needed for my boat?

Smile New to Kayaking

Pa doeesn't require a sticker for some waters, but if you use corp of engineers waters or commission boat launches you do. It's best to use either a PA LAUNCH PERMIT or a PA REGISTRATION. The launch permit is just a sticker and requires no documentation. The registration requires documentation to purchase, gets you a set of numbers, and sends you notices for renewal the same as a car tag. You don't have to display the registration numbers on the kayak. You only have to mount the stickers. This makes you legal everywhere you go.
