Default Allegheny River Primitive Camping in June

June 3 & 4th
This overnight camping trip will be from Kennerdell to Emlenton with primitive island camping midway. The total trip is 15 miles. The meeting location is the take out under the bridge in Emlenton PA to set up the shuttle at 10:00am on Saturday the 4th. This is the most wild and beautiful section.

Default Nice!

Jim R and I had a great overnighter. We stayed at the same island as last year. Nice weather Saturday and we missed the Sunday rain by leaving the camp site at 6:30am. Many deer and eagles spotted.

Did you camp on the first or second island? On which side and end of the island did you beach the boats?

Erin,
Second island, river side with the take out midway. There is a doe and her fawns living there.
